Finally, I explore how these past developments maintain relevance for South Asian women who currently reside in Canada. By providing an overview of the Ghadar movement, men and women’s spheres and immigration laws, I will examine how the Ghadar movement affected the first South Asian women and their contributions towards the construction of the South Asian Diaspora in Canada.
